Enter the business you want to take up and pursue, and the town or municipality, in which it should take place, on the "Self-employment Online" (Selbständigkeit online) page. You will then be informed about all formalities, which have to be dealt with to take up and pursue this very business, and can start the required procedures directly on the screen.
Click on "To the electronic procedure management" in the description of the service you have entered. A wizard will guide you anonymously through a series of questions. You can then register yourself in "mein service-bw", and prepare and submit a formal application electronically. An electronic file will be created for further processing. We will treat all data which you have input in strict confidence.
Please take your time to enter the information and for the electronic procedure management. You can also interrupt your work on the application and then resume it at a later date.
